Why do people smoke? There are all sorts of answers that can be given, but the result is always a strong addiction to the weed. The singing groups in this MTV take us through the reasons for smoking, the social pressure that makes it so hard to resist, and the cost, in terms of money and health, of the habit. This musical mix of rap, reggae, and island beats is laced with humor. At bottom, the title of the video is the message: Don’t Smoke That Cigarette.
