| With the Sokehs uprising ended, the German troops soon left Pohnpei on the warships. The German administration was finally able to impose the land reforms and public works projects they had long been planning. For Pohnpeians, the period of open defiance was ended. Afterwards, they, like other islanders, expressed their opposition to foreign interference in more muted ways. |
