Spanish Capuchins arrived in the Carolines in 1886 to establish the Catholic Church there. The Capuchin priests and brothers began their work in Yap and Pohnpei, but later they expanded to Palau and Chuuk. Here a few of the missionaries are shown outside one of their rectories.
