| The first married deacons in Micronesia were ordained on Pohnpei in 1973. Here Deacon Koropin Kerman gives out communion with Deacon Lorens Johanis assisting. Deacons on Pohnpei, Chuuk and Yap would provide ordinary care in those places where there were no resident priests. |
