AERIAL: Aerial attack on ships in harbor at Dublon Island, Truk Atoll, Carolines by carrier planes, on 29 – 30 April 1944 (West Longitude Date). Japan’s seaplane base was a shamble with many planes destroyed. In first day’s attack 60 Japanese planes were destroyed on the ground and an equal number in the air.
