BOMBING: Pinpoint precision bombing by “heavies” of the 7th US Army Air Force blasts Japanese military installations on Jaluit Atoll in the Marshall Islands. Continual bombardment of enemy-held territory throughout the Central Pacific is being maintained by the Army Air Force to keep out reinforcements and to soften up Japanese islands for Army, Navy and Marine attack. 14 June 1944.

BOMBING: This well laid out Japanese base on Jaluit Atoll in the Marshall Islands serviced seaplanes and submarines which menaced American bases and supply lines. It looked like this while most untouched by war at the beginning of the 7th AAF bombing attack which left it one of the most bombed spots in the world. 8 April 1944.
